Jahari Stampley
Chicago-born pianist began playing the piano at the age of 14, winning various competitions including Best High School Jazz Soloist Award and the National YoungArts Competition. At the age of 18 years old, he was recognized and followed by many world renowned musicians including Yebba Smith, Robert Glasper, Cory Henry, Jacob Collier, Derrick Hodge, Travis Sayles, Mike Mitchell, Andre Sims, Isaiah Sharkey, among others. Jahari was recently asked to play on Derrick Hodge’s upcoming album and has now worked in the studio with Yebba Smith, Mike Mitchell, and Travis Sayles. Jahari was also the winner of the Bösendorfer prize for the international 2019 American Jazz Pianists Association Competition.
